We had one unusually warm day in Feb…well, more like a few hours. I had a quick lie down on the rocks and it immediately rained! Rain bathing in Ireland. Sun bathing is so last year you know! 🙂
I love your photo and that deep blue of the sea. It could be a photo taken on the coast near where I live here in New Zealand. Nature likes to repeat patterns for us at times! Nice.
We are just missing those nice NZ temperatures! My uncle lives in Auckland so I am green with envy hearing about the sunshine and gorgeous fruit growing in his garden. 🙂
Love this wildsherkin . Colour doesn’t have to be gaudy does it . I think our eyes get overloaded at times and something like this puts the calm back into our mind and spirit .
Having said that … I do love a bit of zing in my life too 😉
What colours! What a view. Happy Saturday! I got the whole place to myself this afternoon to fiddle with my new look for the blog. Since we’re on the topic of colours, I got a little carried away with the colours and then didn’t know how to undo what I had done and the whole page was green with purple stripes and all sorts of other shades. It looked like my son had been at work! Going a bit mad with colours. What about you? What’s your favourite colour. Mine as you probably know is green and purple (though not in massive doses all at once!) 😀 I once saw a house here painted a deep aubergine. It actually worked. Stopping by for a natter….. 😀 Sharon
Hi Sharon, I am also spending a little time with WordPress today. I have a strange relationship with colour and two people in my life have actually said that they think I am afraid of colour. I suppose it’s true that from a decor and clothing point of view, I can’t live with strong colour! But I adore colour, all the same. Like you, my favourite is probably green but I also love muted blues and purples. I have taken up pastels recently and I have to stop myself from knocking back pure colour pigment and let the true colours sing!
My mother thinks I wear too much dowdy colours. She’s Asian and is big on colours! Maybe if we lived on some tropical island, we’ll be in streaks of orange and lime perhaps? 😀
Definitely! I’m the queen of dowdy! Despite the lack of tropical conditions here in Ireland some people paint their houses wonderful shades of pink and purple which look stunning in the landscape. Takes courage!
Please do take some pictures of those pink and purple houses! I can’t really imagine pink but purple I like. Finns are mostly rather muted in colours but I absolutely love the vibrant ambers and orchres and reds painted on apartments and houses. It’s so rustic. It would be nice to have a little red cottage by a lake 😀
Thanks. I think that’s about all the colour I’ll be painting on the blog for now. 😀 It was good to have this little catch up with you. I’m going for a nice long walk before my boys return. Thinking of you as I breathe in the fresh sea air and splosh through the melting ice. Spring is here!
What a wonderful photo of a rugged, rocky shoreline and the rise and fall of the cobalt sea beyond.

So true. 🙂
Beautiful blue sky and wonderful view 🙂
It’s hard to believe that this was taken in mid February…at least the sunshine has come back now!
Stunning!
Thank you! 🙂

That sounds gorgeous! I’ll keep an eye out for colourful blots on the Irish landscape and in the meantime, good luck with the blog make-over!
