Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: The Season of Spring
“There’s something in the air. Sniff. Hmm, I’ll just close my eyes for a sec and breathe it in. I know that scent…but what is it? Sniff. Daisies, salty breeze, bluebells, buttercups, cow poo (love that!), nesting Blue Tits, those sprouting green thingamajigs everywhere…I’ve got it! It’s spring – and that means only one thing – less time pounding the city pavements and more time ahead on Sherkin Island :)”
We all know that it’s officially summertime in Ireland. It is May, afterall, but while the days are longer and the sun is shining, according to those in the know, the soil temperature is five weeks behind what it should be for this time of the year. There is definitely an unseasonal chill in the air too but we have enjoyed a lot more blue skies, sunshine and growth.
Thanks to Cee for another great challenge.
