Golden times
This one is a bit on the dark side as I took it later in the day but I quite like the yellow and blue delicacy of the wildflowers contrasting against the stark barbed wire. Shame it’s not completely in focus…and the lighting leaves a lot to be desired.
This photo captures a great sense of atmosphere. The dark sky and barbed wire are in strong contrast to the fragile yellow flowers. It makes a powerful statement.
Mary, I missed your comment, sorry! I’m glad that I caught it as the farmer has since left cattle into this field so they have had a lovely time munching on the wild flowers!
i think it is a lovely pic of those beautiful wild flowers, why can’t we have beautiful wild flowers too?? lol
I’ve just discovered your comment! I bet you do have beautiful wild flowers….:)
Remind me what part of the world you are in?
south Florida, we don’t have beautiful wild flowers lol…
Ahh but you have so much more! 🙂
🙂 I guess so…

Lovely!
Thank you… and nice to see you back on the scene!
Beautiful wildflower meadow…a rare enough sight nowadays. Love it!
Thanks Bridget. It’s great when nature is left to its own devices!
Lovely shot Ws, Its a great time of year and it also great to see all the fields so full of flowers.
Thanks for sharing this image 🙂
I’d like to see this scene taken by someone with your camera skills, Nigel!
So lovely to see a mass of wild flowers, a wonderful array of colours. Would love to see your little wild orchids too!
Thanks Anna, it just goes to show what nature can do if left without pesticides! I’ll try to capture some of those orchids. 🙂
What a pretty meadow! If I was there I would pack a blanket and a picnic basket and plop down amongst the flowers. 🙂
What a good idea…! 🙂
So nice to see such a natural wild meadow P .T hink I see scabious and buttercups .. struggling with the yellow and orangey pea flowers …
Really nice .
OH now there’s a woman who knows her flowers! Is it broom? P
Very pretty. Will this be an inspiration for a new pastel piece?
Could be…:)
Lovely wild flower meadow 🙂
Thanks Cath. There are some lovely little wild orchids on Sherkin at the moment too.
The barbed wire is definitely the secret ingredient here, Would like to see it a little bit higher to be more distinctive (but then you have to excuse me as I am only being hyper critical and trying to help and suggest possibilities) MM 😀
Not at all. I think you are right, you know. I might go off now and crop it. Cropping isn’t going to fix the focus though! I should have focussed on the wire and left the flowers a blur….P
Just don’t think you are the only one…..MM
