Weekly Photo Challenge: Perspective
‘Conversation’, Mixed Media © wildsherkin 2014.
I can hear what you are saying from here: ‘Hasn’t her art style really evolved?’ ‘ The depth of colour, tonal qualities and texture of her work has definitely moved on from the pretty pastels she used to do.’
I have to admit, this piece of artwork really rocks.
Perhaps that’s because it is a rock.
Ten Hail Mary’s for me.

Great photo – so like a painting. Lichen are amazing 🙂
Thanks Rachael. Nature was definitely painting a picture for us! I sense two figures but others may see something different.
I’m an abstract painter, so all I see are wonderful shapes and colours. I guess we see what we need to see 🙂
Was that your painting in your recent post? It’s really lovely. P
I haven’t put any paintings up yet, mostly because they’re mostly rather big (4-5′ square) and they lose their energy when I shrink them. I’ve just got a new camera though, so I should have another go. R
I look forward to seeing them! P
I’m looking at one on the wall just now, and wondering…
What a lovely ‘find’ ! what with the colours and the detailing of faux ‘ink outline’ Nature’s artistry is to be much admired 🙂
I really like your Perspective interpretation Patsy .
ps I think one Glory be would be really quite sufficient this time 😉
Thanks Poppy…getting off very lightly with the one Glory Be!
Very cool….I love your nature painted rock….it rocks 🙂
Thanks S. P
Beautiful
Many thanks 🙂
Great shots for this challenge, WS!

Wow – at first I saw blood in the snow! Two great shots and interpretation of the challenge.
It’s great to see other people’s perspectives and interpretations! Thank you 🙂
Good capture. This is the big viewing difference between standard shot making and close-up and/ or macro photography.
Thank you, Rick. I am feeling very honoured that you popped by and took the time to comment. I’ve only had a quick visit to your amazing blog but will be back. Your words ‘Nature is its own masterpiece’ are so true.
The closeup makes me think of continents, an old map done in red clay!
Lily
Yes, I see that too!
This is a spectacular rock Patsy! Painting by nature – but you captured it!
Thanks Anna, it was another bonus of the recent storms as I had never noticed this rock before…and I am sure I would have…so I was delighted to come across it.
*LIKING* this many many times over.
Patsy…this is absolutely wonderful!!!!
Raye
Thanks Raye! I should have tried to haul it off the beach when I had the chance!! Patsy
