Weekly Photo Challenge: Half Light

wildsherkin clouds and waves

So fine was the morning except for a streak of wind here and there that the sea and sky looked all one fabric, as if sails were stuck high up in the sky, or the clouds had dropped down into the sea.

This week’s WP Photo challenge is Half Light and Krista has invited us to share a photo inspired by a poem, verse, song lyric or story.

The quality of light on Sherkin Island over the Easter weekend was fascinating, changing from ominously heavy skies on arrival in Baltimore Harbour to light that lifts the spirit…and illuminates every speck of dust and cobweb throughout our neglected island home. Sherkin Island in the springtime is as good as any tonic. My cobwebs have well and truly gone, blown out into Roaring Water Bay to ride white horses on skyward waves.
