About
I’m someone who likes to make things and I don’t always have the time and space to do that. Sherkin Island is a tiny island off the south west coast of Cork. It’s one of the Carbery One Hundred Isles in Roaring Water Bay, just a ten minute ferry ride from Baltimore in West Cork, yet a million miles away from my day job. Here, I can sit and knit, crochet or sculpt or just take pictures or write about what makes my heart beat.
You have an interesting blog with lots of lovely pictures. I will follow you and I will come back soon on your blog.
Thanks Ronald. I look forward to visiting your blog.

Ooo, I love wild spaces too, Patsy! Nothing like a bit of roaring sea and unbroken horizon to release creativity. Beautiful pictures and I look forward to discovering more about Sherkin.

Thank you too. I have admired you at a distance for too long. 🙂
That’s sweet of you to say…
Wildsherkin, are you busy painting again? Or traveling to an art and crafts show? Wait, maybe you are out shooting in places no one else dares to go and running from a wild bull across a meadow? Or perhaps you’re entertaining a perfect stranger at your home again with coffee and cake? Well, you can tell that I missed you on WP. Hope everything is alright! 🙂 Namaste, andelieya
Dear Andelieya,
Thank you for thinking of me! No adventures for me, I’m afraid – just drowning in a sea of work and feeling very bad about my absence here. I’ve been mulling over some ideas for posts and hope to catch up with everyone soon. Px
Hi Patsy, I nominated you for the WordPress Family Award, you can check it out here, but if you don’t do awards, that is perfectly fine too.

Thank you for liking my blog, even though I have not blogged since last October. I am now following you as I like the idea of living on Sherkin. My brother has often been there and maybe planning his 60th Birthday there or in Baltimore. Looking forward to further posts, Regards,
Catherine C.

The feeling is mutual!
Thank you! I’m really glad I found you and look forward to receiving your posts.
In that part of the world, I can only imagine how the landscape must be a photographer’s dream and the pace of life supportive of pursuing any kind of art. Best wishes! – andelieya
