It is a great honour to be nominated for Wordpress Awards and I thank each and every one of you for taking the time and trouble to nominate me. There are so many better blogs out there and so many wonderful people who deserve the limelight and recognition that when it comes to following the rules for acceptance, I find myself stressing over whom I should choose to pass the awards onto. I dither, pause and think too long about whether they would want an award passed onto them and would it just cause them stress too. I feel that I should ask their permission first and then it really gets complicated and time consuming for all. l truly ‘get’ the sentiment behind the awards and it is a wonderful way of sharing and opening up new readerships but it also feels like a chain letter and that doesn’t sit well with me. I hope you will understand that it is enough for me to know that someone is reading this blog! And instead of singling out certain bloggers for awards, I have placed my Reader List on my Home Page so that with a click on a link, you will see and enjoy what makes my heart beat.
Look at the date….is this you, P? Why did I lose you? You disappeared or was it me? Remember we were going to have a cuppa down at the corner caff…and you were getting the couch bed ready just in case I could stay? Remember??? Have re-upped my subscription [again] in hopes it won’t get lost in the post……fingers crossed! Raye
Dearest Raye, lapsed…not lost. We have so much catching to do. I don’t know where the time has gone. It’s so lovely to hear from you. Px
I’ve read above that you’re not keen on awards but I wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for one (it was before I read the above so apologies). It’s really just so that others can see what lovely posts you put up and the photos that accompany them.
Jean, thank you for thinking of me. I feel really honoured. 🙂
