Like the little bit of sky in the water might heat it up somehow. Lovely photo and great haiku. My eye was drawn to the homes perched on the hillside – I’m envious of the view they have.
Thanks Safia, Those houses on the cliff top have a great view out to sea but one of them (out of shot) is a little too close to the cliff edge for comfort. 🙂
Thanks Poppy. This picture was taken at Myrtleville, a small beach just twenty minutes or so from Cork City, so a good ‘fix’ of sea air when we need it and can’t go as far as Sherkin!
Heaven’s loss, that’s beautiful.
Thanks Tim 🙂
I love how this shows there can be heaven on earth – so beautiful and peaceful.
I like that ‘heaven on earth’! 🙂
Beautifully expressed. The poem and photo make a perfect pairing.
Thank you so much 🙂

Beautiful and almost ominous Patsy – I feel it looks as though it could be on another planet.
I see what you mean, Anna. It’s probably the failing light and the unusual rock formation and textures that lend a slightly ‘other worldly’ quality. 🙂
Lovely. Both the image and the haiku, P. Reflections of clouds in water are always mesmerizing….
Thank you Maureen. I thought the reflected cloud added a new dimension to the scene.
A very beautiful image with lots of atmosphere.
Thanks Deb, it was taken on a chilly day in February just as the light was fading.
Lovely image and great haiku 🙂
Many thanks 🙂
Heavens loss indeed…lovely haiku and matching image 🙂
Thanks Seonaid!
Lovely observation Patsy !
